How to Find the Right Size (Twist-Off Measurement Guide)
One of our most frequent inquiries concerns compatibility. To prevent leaks and product returns, simply follow the "Lug Rule."
Twist-Off lids are defined not just by diameter, but by the neck finish type. Always measure the external diameter of the jar neck (including the threads).
- Φ43 - Φ53: Typically used for small jars ranging from 30ml to 100ml (samples, beeswax balms, spices).
- Φ63: The industry standard for jam jars and small honey jars (250gr - 450gr).
- Φ82: The most popular size for 1kg honey jars and pickles.
- Deep vs. Regular: Pay attention to the height! If your jar has a tall neck (Deep), a standard (Regular) lid will not engage the lugs correctly, preventing a seal and allowing air to enter.
