Liquid Dyes vs. Dye Chips: Which Should You Choose?

Deciding between liquid dye and solid chips is the number one dilemma for new makers. Dye chips are ideal for beginners and large-scale batch production, as they offer consistent color ratios without the need for a precision scale. However, for specific effects like pastel hues or marbling, liquid candle dyes are the superior choice. Due to their high concentration, just a few drops are enough to color a large volume of wax, ensuring zero sediment at the bottom of the vessel and perfectly even dispersion throughout the soy or paraffin mass.

Dosage Guide for Flawless Results (Zero Frosting)

Candle making is a chemistry that demands precision. A frequent cause of "frosting" (white crystalline structures on soy wax) is pigment incompatibility. Our products are lab-tested to minimize polymorphic crystallization in the wax.

For Chips: Use 1-2g per 1kg of wax for soft shades, and up to 10g for deep, intense colors.

Temperature Matters: Add the colorant at 80-85°C and stir gently for 2 minutes. If you add the dye at a lower temperature, it may not dissolve completely, resulting in speckling or spots in the final visual result.
